WHALE SONG

My song I sing to the depths of the sea,
and the walls of the sea sing back to me.
My song is not about a place. It is my place.
It is the hall, through echo's grace,
where sound and space are one.
When I am right where I must be,
and sing my song as it must be
the sea sings back in harmony,
and I know where I am.

My song I sing to the depths of the sea,
and the souls of the sea sing back to me.
My song is not about a race. It is my race.
It is the line of my father's pod,
the lovesong of my mother.
When I am right where I must be,
and sing my song as it must be,
the souls I love draw close to me,
and I know who I am.

My song I sing to the depths of the sea,
and the sea proclaims my destiny.
My song is not about a path. It is my path.
It calls the krill, the shrimp, and cod,
and brings me to my lover.
When I am right as I must be,
and sing my song as it must be,
it is the way, my all, the key,
the living Word I am.
