En Osar, Scribe Of Osiris.

He is the obsessive monk of Saqqara, who cannot let a night go past without carrying one more stone one step closer to the altar he is building in the desert, not without abandoning his god, and with it his illusion of sanity. He has no flock of followers, no army of paid laborers, no slaves. His families have kept him fed, and put up with his obsession. As he grows old and thin, he has erected only a pathetic little platform in the sand, each stone engraven with only his own name, and this:

I
TESTIFY
OSIRIS IS DEAD.
FEAR NOT, THOU MORTAL,
THEREFORE ART THOU ETERNAL.
